Mole/Skin Tag Removal

A mole is a common benign skin growth composed of pigment cells. They occur when cells in the skin grow in a cluster instead of being spread throughout the skin. Moles can be small, large, flat, raised, and often brown or black in colour. They can appear on any part of the body. Some moles can be cosmetically bothersome. Here at Hebe we use electrocauterization to remove moles. Electrocautery uses electrical currents to burn the mole off. Scarring is very minimal as the electric currents only reach the outermost layers of the skin. The area treated will look like a cut that will scab within a week. If a touch-up session is required, that is done 12 weeks from the initial removal.

  • How long are laser hair removal treatments?
This greatly depends on which area is being targeted. For a full leg laser hair removal treatment, we suggest clients expect to be at the clinic for 20-30 min. For smaller areas such as underarms or bikini line, treatments can be as short as 10 minutes.
  • Does laser hair removal hurt?
Unlike traditional laser hair removal lasers, our technology at HeBe Beauty Bar is comfortable and safe on all skin types and tones. The unique, patented cooling feature of the Clarity II allows the treatments to be very tolerable.
  • Is there downtime after laser hair removal?
As treatments are non invasive and comfortable, no downtime is required after your laser hair removal treatments. However, we strongly discourage any exposure to direct sunlight for two weeks post (and prior) to your laser hair removal treatments in order to avoid risk of scarring, hypopigmentation and/or hyperpigmentation. Like with any laser procedure the sun’s powerful UV rays can be extremely harmful to the skin post-treatment as the skin becomes more sensitive.
  • How many laser hair removal treatments will I need?
The number of treatments needed depends on the client’s hair tendencies; however, the average client needs approximately six sessions for total clearance. We also suggest clients book an annual touch-up appointment to help maintain results.
  • Can I wax in between my laser hair removal treatments?
No. For laser hair removal to work successfully, the laser needs to target each hair follicle. If you remove the follicle completely (as waxing does temporarily) then the laser can’t target and stunt its growth. Shaving is an acceptable form of hair removal during and in-between your laser hair removal treatments, as it doesn’t remove the follicle. In fact, we ask clients to shave 24/48 hours prior to their laser hair removal treatment.
